Burger Bangles
Looking for the perfect cookout accessory? I’ve got you covered, let’s make some burger bangles.
My favorite things to crochet are often food related, I feel like it is a popular subject in the crochet community. I hope this doesn’t overload the crochet food world but I thought it was a super fun idea that I just HAD to bring to life.
Any ideas on other things that could become bangles let me know, or if you make something new yourself I would love to see images. Comment below, send me an email, DM me on IG and I’ll feature your creation in my story.
Materials:
3.75 mm/F hook
Cotton yarn (I used Sugar N’ Cream cotton yarn to create these. I feel that it holds up better as a wearable item) tan, brown, red, green, yellow
Yarn needle
Scissors
Abbreviations:
SC- single crochet
SC3TOG- single crochet 3 in same stitch
CH- chain
The Bun Bangles:
CH 35 and join
Row 1: SC around and join (35)
Row 2 : SC around and join (35)
Row 3: SC around and join (35)
Row 4: SC around and join (35)
Fasten off leaving a tail about 8in long.
Make 2 of these for Buns
Fold Row 1 up and under the last row. Using the tail stitch through the loop that forms on outside of row 2 (see image 3 above) then run needle through the top of last row and pull tight. Stitch around the entire circle this way. This is how you will form all bangles for this project. All except the meat. Also if still confused see my bangles tutorial https://www.hustleandhook.com/home/2018/1/30/crochet-bangles-bracelets-pattern
The Tomato and Cheese Bangles:
These two will be the same as bun but with one less row
CH 35 and join
Row 1: SC around and join (35)
Row 2 : SC around and join (35)
Row 3: SC around and join (35)
Fasten off leaving a tail about 8in long.
Make 1 red and 1 yellow
The Lettuce Bangle:
This begins the same as Cheese and Tomato
CH 35 and join
Row 1: SC around and join (35)
Row 2 : SC around and join (35)
Row 3: SC around and join (35)
Row 4: SC3TOG in each stitch around
When folding up to stitch do so as if the ruffle part is not actually there, just the same as the cheese and tomato slices.
The Meat Bangle:
CH 35 and join
Row 1: SC around and join (35)
Row 2 : SC around and join (35)
Row 3: SC around and join (35)
Row 4: SC around and join (35)
Fasten off
Make 2 of these and then we will sew the two together.
I’m using two different shades so that you can tell what is happening in the photos but make sure both are dark brown when you make this. Slip stitch the two pieces together all around the top and bottom of bangle.
